Every parent becomes anxious seeing his child struggling with a flu or cold. What’s more to say except sleepless nights, stress and worrisome condition when your kid lies in bed with a yellow face, runny nose, fever and severe cough! More precisely, this was my condition two weeks ago, when my little daughter came from kindergarten with a horrible flu. Seems that 2019th flu virus grabbed her by the hand and didn’t want to let her go. I pitied her each and every single minute for a whole week, while I was trying all sorts of remedies to get rid of flu symptoms – which worked amazing in killing the flu virus. Fever was down in just one night and nasal congestion as well. But, my poor little daughter ended with real bad cough which didn’t want to go away!
The worst part of this bad cough is my daughter’s hate towards cough syrups. I don’t know why she hates cough syrups so much, but I’m glad that I discovered a way in fooling her with a super effective home remedy. Since forever, many people used folk remedies in treating various symptoms of common cold and flu. The following banana remedy is incredible effective in treating cough and sore throat, and it’s the perfect natural bandage for your lungs, alleviating bronchitis.
Acute coughs may be caused by colds, flu, irritants and pneumonia while the chronic coughs are usually caused by allergies, asthma, bronchitis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease or postnasal drip.
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 tablespoon of raw honey
- 400 ml of water
- Bring the water to boil and mash bananas with a wooden spoon.
- Add the water to your banana puree and let it cool for half an hour.
- Add honey and stir well.
How To Use:
Give your child 100 ml of this banana cough remedy four times a day. Make sure to heat up the syrup before using it.
How Does It Work?
This natural banana remedy helps your kid to find relief as the body cures itself of whatever caused the cough.
In addition, bananas promote better sleep as they increase serotonin levels. This makes them ideal for those dealing with annoying nighttime coughs.
