Excessive Armpit Sweating Goes Away With 3 Natural Treatments

When it comes to excessive armpit sweating, we all are seriously conflicted. If you’re concerned about your health, you know that most antiperspirants contain toxins. This should convince you to take a more natural approach to get rid of excessive armpit sweating. So what should you do? Excessive armpit sweating is quite a struggle to overcome. Thus, I’ve compiled the best natural approaches to stop sweating without compromising your health.

1. Make your own homemade deodorant

You can use coconut oil, combined with baking soda and other ingredients, to create your own homemade deodorant. For this, you will need 3 tsp coconut oil, 2 tsp shea butter, 3 tsp baking soda, 2 tsp arrowroot powder and 3 drops of lavender oil.

In a double boiler, melt the coconut oil and Shea butter over medium heat. If you don’t have a double boiler, heat some water in a saucepan and then place the coconut oil and Shea butter into a lidded glass jar. Leave the jar in the hot water until both ingredients are thoroughly melted.

Then, remove from heat, add the baking soda and arrowroot powder and then mix them well. After this, you could also add lavender essential oil. Thus, combine and store the mixture in a jar and then pour into an empty deodorant stick. Make sure to place it in the refrigerator so that it remains hardened.

2. The sage treatment

Another effective treatment is sage. This natural ingredient is an outstanding remedy to get rid of excessive armpit sweating. It offers multiple qualities that make it a very effective antiperspirant remedy. Because sage is an antibacterial and antifungal, it will help restrict the growth of bacteria that can lead to excess sweating. Also, the sage leaves contain tannic acid, which means it will help constrict sweat glands and reduce perspiration.

There are a few ways you can use sage to address your problem:

Boil a tablespoon of dried sage leaves in one to two cups of water. Allow it to cool to room temperature, and then use the liquid to thoroughly clean the soles of your armpits which tend to be excessively sweaty. Repeat two more times each day for best results.

You can also drink sage tea and enjoy the effects, though it’s best done when used in combination with the first method. Make a sage tea by steeping one to two teaspoons of the dried herb in a cup of hot water for 5 to 7 minutes. Sip each night just before bedtime.

3. Apple cider vinegar packs

This natural ingredient has astringent properties that will control sweating, and when taken internally, it also helps to balance pH levels in the body. It even works as an antiperspirant, forming a coat on the skin to ensure the pores stay closed.

To use it for sweaty underarms, thoroughly wash the affected area, and then dab a cotton ball into apple cider vinegar. Rub the cotton ball onto the area, and leave it on overnight. In the morning, rinse it off in the shower and then apply the natural deodorant.

It’s also a good idea to take it internally by adding two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and a teaspoon of raw honey to a glass of water. Drink the mixture once each day, ideally on an empty stomach, to further combat excess sweating.
